BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) - The NCAA is taking another look at the eligibility status of Indiana's Guy-Marc Michel.

The Martinique native attended high school and took college courses in France, where he played on a club basketball team that included professional players.

After leaving France, Michel played at North Idaho College before joining the Hoosiers.

Indiana coach Tom Crean says the school expected the NCAA to take a longer look at Michel's eligibility because of his foreign connections.

Crean says the Hoosiers expect Michel to be cleared by the NCAA in the next few weeks.

Michel sat out Wednesday night's exhibition game against Franklin College.
