Those familiar with Bigfork know that

the Village experiences a little magic during the holiday season.

This year is no exception, and in addition to its usual ways of

ringing in the season, the local stage will feature a Las

Vegas-style magic show Saturday, Nov. 20.

Two magic acts are set to appear at the

Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts as the interactive Magic and

Mystery show. The show includes mentalist Paul Draper and

entertainer Scott Hitchcock.

“They are both very accomplished

magicians. It’s very fascinating and unusual magic,” said John

Raymond with Encore Entertainment Network, which is bringing the

show to Bigfork.

Draper, who brings his performance from

the Venetian, is a magician and mentalist. His act includes mind

reading, making observations while blindfolded with layers of duct

tape and bending spoons with his eyes.

“I don’t know how the heck he does it,”

Raymond said.

The other half of the show will feature

Hitchcock, who includes magic, illusion and impersonation in his

act. He’s been a regular at Caesar’s Palace and the Excalibur in

Las Vegas. Hitchcock is joined by his wife, Marissa, for his

illusions. The two, also known for their swing dancing skills,

incorporate dance into the show making it a true performance,

Raymond said.

“They have a great routine,” Raymond

said.

During the day Saturday, which is

Bigfork’s annual Decorating Day for Christmas and Holiday Art Walk,

both acts are anticipated to be wandering the streets of the

Village and doing a bit of magic for residents.

Tickets for the show, which starts at 8

p.m., are $20 for adults and $10 for students under 19 if purchased

in advance or $22.50 for adults and $12 for students at the

door.

“This is something you’re not going to

see every day,” Raymond said.
