Polson soccer players named to all-star teams

Seniors Sean Hart (striker) and Trever Moll(midfield) were named to the Class A Montana All-State team for this season. They also made all-conference along with Nick Howell (defender), Clay Frissell (goalkeeper), Jame Larson (midfield), Jon Murphy (midfield) and Riley Lemm (midfield).

For the girls, all-conference honors was bestowed upon Jacie Morrison (goalkeeper), Sarah Devlin (wing) and Madeline Hewston (midfield).

Mission Valley Mariners Meeting

The Mission Valley Mariner Incorporated Baseball Association will have their annual meeting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 1 at the Ronan Professional Center.

Elections will be held for seven new board members to make up the 2011 season board. All members of the association are invited to attend and are eligible to vote for the new board members.

Any three members may nominate a candidate for election, this is done by submitting a written statement to Myrna Gauthier, current secretary which identifies the name of the nominee and the position that is the subject of the nomination.

The written nomination needs to bear the signatures of the three nominating members. The written nomination also needs to include a signed statement by the candidate that they accept the nomination.

Nominations will be accepted through Monday Nov. 22. They can be mailed to 36737 Bouchard Road, Ronan, MT or e-mailed to [email protected].

You’ll have to excuse me for stating the obvious, I’m assuming everyone in Polson already knows this but Neal Lewing is one heck of an actor. I was first able to see the Port Polson player as Judge Turpin in the production of Sweeney Todd last November.
