Chiefs edged by T-Birds in shootout

KENT, Wash. - Former Spokane Chief Burke Gallimore scored in the third round of a shootout to give the Seattle Thunderbirds a 2-1 win over the Spokane Chiefs in Western Hockey League action Friday night at the ShoWare Center.

Seattle took the lead in the first minute on a goal by Luke Lockhart with an assist by Gallimore.

Spokane evened the game 3:35 into the third period as former Coeur d'Alene Laker Tyler Johnson scored his fourth goal in as many games to send it to overtime.

Blake Gal scored in the second round of the shootout for Spokane (10-8-1), which travels to Kennewick, Wash., for a game vs. the Tri-City Americans tonight at 7.
