PLAYHOUSE: Ovation for the 'non-local'
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 16 years AGO
Julie Nash said regarding the Lake City Playhouse, "It is not surprising that the new administration, being non-local, would have scant interest in the history of the organization and would tend to downplay this landmark." Does she mean the "non-local" who has infused new life, excitement and hope into the struggling organization?
Based on the task put before the new administration, I can understand why the immediate and uncertain FUTURE of the LCP took priority over "celebrating" its past. This "non-local's" enthusiasm and passion for the Playhouse is addictive, and I'm sure Julie's valuable, historical knowledge would be welcomed should she wish to share it, now that the LCP is back on track.
FYI, I haven't attended a play in years, but will be going to Evita this weekend, due in part to the "non-local."
