San Diego pulled within one game of wild card-leading Atlanta.
Brewers 4, Reds 3, 11 inn.: Casey McGehee drove in Corey Hart in the 11th, and visiting Milwaukee beat Cincinnati.
Diamondbacks 7, Dodgers 5: Adam LaRoche drove in three runs, leading Arizona at Los Angeles.
Mets 2, Nationals 1, 10 inn.: Josh Thole homered in the 10th and host New York beat Washington.
Phillies 11, Braves 5: Jimmy Rollins’ grand slam lifted Philadelphia at Atlanta.
Cubs 2, Astros 0: Casey Coleman pitched seven strong innings and Chicago won at Houston.
Cardinals 3, Rockies 0: Jake Westbrook struck out nine, leading host St. Louis past Colorado.
Pirates 5, Marlins 1: At Miami, Chris Snyder and Pedro Alvarez homered to lead Pittsburgh past Florida.
