Florence spikers down Lady Trojans

The Troy High School volleyball team stepped out of the conference on Saturday for a road trip to Florence. The Lady Trojans came up short in four games, 25-18, 15-25, 28-26, 25-19.
Kimmy Klin had nearly half of the team’s kills with 10. Alyssa Olds chipped in 18 set assists. Michaela Curry established Troy’s presence at the net with four blocked shots. Jordan Williams had a match-high 20 digs. Rachel Geuther had three of the team’s seven serving aces.
The Lady Trojans took a 2-6 overall record into a scheduled Tuesday match at Stillwater Christian.
Troy will host two opponents at Troy Activity Center on Saturday. A match against Ronan will get the day started at either 11 a.m., or 12:30 p.m. (start time yet to be finalized). Troy will then face Plains at 4:30 p.m. Junior varsity matches will precede varsity action.
