Margaret P. Decker, 88, a longtime Libby resident, died of natural causes on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010 at St. John’s Lutheran Hospital.

She was born Sept. 26, 1922 in Troy to Jacob and Nora Cripe Coffman. She grew up and attended school in Troy, graduating from the high school with the Class of 1940.

She married Oliver Decker on May 24, 1941 in Libby. She ran Decker’s Records and Novelty Shop for 12 years. She was also the bookkeeper for Decker Logging for many years.

She enjoyed her lunch bunch, bowling and family gatherings.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver; daughter, Sheila; grandson, David; and sister, Irene.

Survivors include her children, Charlie Decker and wife Yvonne; Esther Parker and husband Mike; and Mark Decker and wife Debbie; and son-in-law, Keith Kenelty – all of Libby; brothers, Les Coffman of Troy; and Herb Coffman of Oakland, Calif.; sister, Florence Larson of Troy; grandchildren, Ken, Russ, Steve, Kevin, Darrin, Holly, Kallie, Mark-O and Mandi; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be Wednesday, Oct. 6 at 11 a.m., at the Libby Christian Church. Visitation was scheduled from 1-8 p.m., on Tuesday. Memorials may be made to Wings or to St. John’s Hospice.
