The Bonners Ferry High School Homecoming parade will be held at noon on Friday Oct. 15, in downtown Bonners Ferry to celebrate the Homecoming game which will begin at 7 p.m.

BFHS students are celebrating Homecoming week Monday, Oct. 11, through Friday Oct. 15.  BFHS wants to get the entire community involved. 

They have asked that during Homecoming week businesses decorate their doors and windows in school colors. Businesses wishing to participate should contact the high school before Oct. 15.  The winner will be announced at the game during half-time and win a plaque donated by the Badger Boosters.

Homecoming week dress up days are as follows:  Monday is Redneck Day.  Tuesday is Crazy Day.

Wednesday is Class Color Day:  seniors, black;  juniors, green; sohomores, orange; and freshmen, brown and Thursday is Spirit (blue and white) Day.

Monday night students will decorate the hallways at the high school in their class colors and themes. Tuesday through Thursday people will be able to catch a glimpse of students down at Boundary County Fairgrounds decorating their floats. Wednesday students perform skits and Thursday they will wrap up their school week with the Badger Olympics.  Students will also have a food drive competition.

Game day at  6 p.m. a  pre-game tail gate will be held in the high school parking lot.  The Badger Boosters will be barbecuing, there will be face painting  and the cheerleaders and dance team will provide entertainment.  Then coach Ed DePriest and the varsity football team will walk through the tail gate on their way to the field.

At half-time during the game, a combination of performances by the BFHS cheerleaders and dance team  will take place followed by the announcement of the 2010 Homecoming royalty.

All class winners will be announced during half-time activities and students will be judged on floats, hallways, class participation, skits, Olympics and food drive.

The Homecoming dance will start at 9 p.m. and go to midnight on Saturday, Oct. 16, at BFHS.
