POLSON - You can't get much past Jacie Morrison. The senior goalkeeper racked up 28 and 31 saves against Columbia Falls and Whitefish respectively last week.
"Jacie makes the good players look less than good," Polson girls soccer head coach Michael Hewston said.
On Saturday, a Whitefish team that had blown out Bigfork last 11-1 on Sept. 28, was stymied by Morrison and a stout Lady Pirates' (1-5-0 conference, 2-6-1 overall) defense but the Bulldogs still won 4-0 in a conference matchup.
"We used it more as a training game. It was more important to keep us healthy for Bigfork and Libby. We win those two games and we're in the playoffs," Hewston said.
The Lady Pirates also fell to the Columbia Falls Wildkats last Thursday 7-4, with senior Reegan von Wildenradt picking up the hat trick with three goals.
Polson will host Bigfork at 5 p.m. tonight and then travel to Libby to play at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

You’ll have to excuse me for stating the obvious, I’m assuming everyone in Polson already knows this but Neal Lewing is one heck of an actor. I was first able to see the Port Polson player as Judge Turpin in the production of Sweeney Todd last November.
