Thoughts on wolves

I may not be a county attorney or a county commissioner, but I am a thinker. I think that the county attorney or commissioners have not given very much thought to the plan they are thinking about—declaring Mineral County a wolf disaster county.

I think that the day they declare Mineral County a wolf disaster, the friends of the rockies, friends of the wolf, or friends of any other fringe group out there will file suit in Federal Court in Missoula.

I think that the day this hits Federal Judge Donald Molloy’s court, Mineral County will be dead in the water. If you thing you can overcome Molloy’s decision to re-list wolves as an endangered species, you need to be rethinking the whole thing again.

I think the day Mineral County loses, Judge Molloy will grant cost and fees to the friends of whatever and I know who will be on the hook, us Mineral County taxpayers.

I think there is one good thing to this thinking about a wolf disaster. On Nov. 3, I know that it will all go away, win or lose.
