Forum spotlights candidates

Seven candidates in the upcoming general election are scheduled to participate in a public forum hosted by the Libby chapter of the Society of American Foresters on Tuesday, Oct. 19 in the Ponderosa Room at Libby City Hall.

The “Meet the Candidates” event will run from 7-9:30 p.m.

Those expected to be in attendance include House District 1 candidates Jerry Bennett and Eileen Carney; House District 2 candidates Mike Cuffe and Tim Linehan; and Lincoln County commissioner candidates Darren Coldwell and Ron Downey. Chas Vincent, who is running unopposed for Senate District 1, will also be on hand.

The candidates will answer questions on important local issues.
