The Center for Asbestos Related Disease announced this week that a flu shot clinic for its patients will be staged on Thursday, Oct. 21 from 9 a.m.-noon and 1-5 p.m.

“A flu shot is a preventive measure which protects not only the most vulnerable but helps prevent the spread of the flu virus,” said Brad Mohr, CARD communications specialist. “If you are healthy and don’t think you need one, please consider that people with healthy immune systems can still spread the flu virus.”

Mohr also reminds CARD patients the importance of taking special care of their lungs.
