Military: Capt. Nathan J. Gilden

Libby native Nathan J. Gilden was recently promoted in rank with the U.S. Army.
During a ceremony on Oct. 2, Lt. Col. James Erbach promoted Gilden to captain. Gilden is the support operations transportation officer for the Combat Aviation Brigade, First Infantry Division in Taji, Iraq.
Stationed out of Fort Riley, Kan., he is on a one-year deployment.
Gilden graduated from Libby High School in 2002 and Montana State University in 2007. He earned his commission as an Army officer in 2007 through the ROTC program at MSU.
He is the son of Gregg Gilden, and grandson of Jo Gilden and Richard O’Brien – all of Libby.
