Troy High School girls upend Mission

The Troy High School volleyball team tightened up the race in District 7-B on Saturday with a 20-25, 26-24, 25-17, 25-15 win on the road over Mission.
The Lady Trojans came up big at the net with a 50-33 advantage on kills. Jordan Williams led the way with 12. Michaela Curry, meanwhile, played stellar defense with four blocks.
Holli Higgins had a team-high 14 digs, Alyssa Olds finished with 31 set assists and Kimmy Klin had three of the team’s nine ace serves.
Earlier in the week, the Lady Trojans dropped a close match to Eureka, 26-28, 26-24, 26-24, 25-17.
Higgins had a big match with three ace serves and 18 digs. Williams had a team-high 12 kills while Olds finished with 37 assists. Jackie Pepiot had three blocks and Klin recorded 18 digs.
Troy (3-5, 4-10 overall) played Bigfork on Tuesday. The girls head to Thompson Falls on Thursday and Noxon on Friday.
