To coordinate or not to coordinate

I am more than curious after reading recent letters to the editor articles in both the Valley Press and Ledger about the status of coordination in Sanders County.  This process, as I understand it, had been approved over two years ago and required a signature of just one of three Sanders County Commissioners to initiate a meeting with the US Forest Service.

My understanding is that coordination would allow for improved economic conditions in Sanders County through the creation of numerous timber industry jobs.  Is our local economy so prosperous that we can ignore this opportunity?  Correct me if I’m wrong, but we have a commissioner candidate who understands the importance of this critical need—his name is Ron Olfert.
