LINCOLN - After clinching a playoff spot with their homecoming win over Noxon two weeks ago, it's looking like Arlee will travel to play Twin Bridges in the playoffs after a 44-34 loss to Lincoln last Friday.

"Lincoln is a good scrappy team," Arlee head coach Scott Palmer said. "They're never going to roll over and give you a game."

The Warriors weren't ones to roll over either, as they found themselves looking at a 20-6 deficit in the first quarter. They would outscore the Lynx 28-24 the rest of the game thanks to plays by senior quarterback Dakota Desjarlais and junior running back Zach Tameler.

Desjarlais was filling in for senior Dylan Moran, who reinjured his ankle two weeks ago against Noxon and should be available for Friday's game against Seeley. He had two touchdown passes and rushing score in the game while Tameler had two touchdown runs.

"Dakota is a great quarterback," Palmer said. "He knows every position out on the field. We don't have to change a lot of stuff."

Palmer said that turnovers hurt the team against Lincoln but a bright spot for the Warriors was sophomore Lane Wilson who stepped in for an injured player at the linebacker position and excelled on offense.

"Anytime you have a loss, you can always use it as a learning experience," Palmer said.

The Warriors will now turn their attention to Seeley for their final home game of the year on Friday.

"Seeley has gotten better every game they've played this year," Palmer said.

Arlee knows first hand just how strong the Western C conference has been so far this season.

"A lot of people said the west and north were going to be tough this year," Palmer said. "Their coaches have them up and ready for games."

With it being senior night, there will be a little extra incentive for the eight graduating players on the roster. The senior night festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m. with kickoff at 7 p.m. in Arlee.
