The Internal Revenue Service and Lincoln County Credit Union will again bring the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program to Libby.
The VITA program provides free tax preparation and assistance to families and individuals of modest means in Libby and Lincoln County.
Last year, 82 returns were filed with more than $70,000 in state and federal refunds.
Currently, Lincoln County Credit Union is recruiting volunteers. No previous tax preparation experience is needed. Many volunteer training opportunities are available. Staff support before and during the tax season is extensive.
