Neva Claire McClain, 82, passed away Oct. 22, 2010, at Health Center Northwest in Kalispell. Neva was born April 18, 1928, in Williston, N.D., to Walter and Martha Maze. In her early years she worked as a dental assistant and was a Cub Scout den mother. She also sang duets with her sister Vannie for World War II savings bond rallies. Neva enjoyed many indoor and outdoor activities, such as playing darts, gardening, fishing and horseshoes. She also enjoyed music, singing, playing the piano and organ and dancing at the Log Hall in McKenzie County. She was an excellent cook, and loved to entertain family and friends. Neva was a member of the VFW, Elks, Moose Club and Eagles. She was always a caring wife and mother, and will be greatly missed. Neva is preceded in death by her loving husbands, Floyd Pflug, Ingvald Kingstad and George McClain; brothers, Walter, Alvah, Lloyd, Sam, Hyla and George; and her sister, Eva. She is survived by her sister, Vannie and Bud Bourette of Frisco, Texas; her sons, Rick and Sue Pflug, Ronald Pflug, Greg Pflug, Mark Kingstad, Bill and Ruth McClain, and Tom and Charlotte McClain; daughters, Janette and Randy Feller, Linda and Al Bernau, and Patty and Ken Bowman. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, at Johnson-Gloschat funeral home. There will be a viewing from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26. Burial will be at Glacier Memorial Gardens following the service.
