Edith I. Pival, 101, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, at the Libby Care Center. Edith was born on Oct. 17, 1909, in Ansley, Neb., to William J. and Nancy Draper Simpson. She moved to Ferndale when she was 6 years old. She attended high school in Bigfork, and then worked for the Kelly-Evans Resort at Swan Lake until her marriage to Ray Pival on Sept. 30, 1928, when she moved to Libby. Edith was a member of Faith Bible Church since its inception and her love for the Lord and for her family always showed in her everyday living. She truly enjoyed her large family and was happiest when the house was full. She was one of the founding members of the Libby Gray Ladies and her dedication to helping others showed her true spirit. Edith was preceded in death by her parents; 11 siblings; her husband, Ray; daughters, Norma Wuest and Mary Carrell; great-granddaughter, Natasha Secret Jacobs; daughter-in-law, Linda Pival; and son-in-law, Wilbur Drake. She is survived by daughters Mona Drake, Nancy and Budd Heyne and Nadine Pival, and sons Frank and Janice Pival, and Bob and Jackie Pival, all of Libby; 21 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 25 great-great grandchildren. Services for Edith Pival will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 1, at the Faith Bible Church in Libby with Pastor David Nelson officiating.
