The Bonners Ferry high School junior varsity girls volleyball team has one returning player from last year making this team a young team, according to coach Desiree Staples.
“This year I have an entirely new team,” said Staples. “ We are very young and don’t have a lot of experience but are very hard working and I see a lot of potential.”
In Friday’s Tri the girls won one out of three games with Timberlake and Lakeland starting pretty rough according to Staples. At the jv level the girls play best out of three games.
“Last year we split every game meaning we beat every team we played at least once,” Staples said.
Staples said the hard work and athleticism she sees coming from the girls jv team will help them build the experience they need.
