Vals, Vikes make their mark on the soccer field

The Bigfork boys and girls soccer teams played host to Stillwater Christian School on Tuesday night, and both the Vikings and Valkyries came away with milestones.
The Bigfork girls got their first win of the season — a 12-1 domination over Stillwater, which established a girls soccer program for the first time this fall.
The Bigfork boys scored their first goal of the season in their matchup with Stillwater. In fact, they scored two that night. However, it wasn't enough to beat their visiting opponents, who scored four.
The Vikes and Vals are also playing host in their second matchups of the week. Thursday night long-time, cross-Valley rivals Whitefish will be in Bigfork. The girls will take the field at 4 p.m. and the boys are slated to play at 6 p.m.
