Ronnie Thomas Kinman, 69

Ronnie Thomas Kinman passed away Sunday evening, Sept. 5, 2010, in a hospital in Butte. He was born in Butte on April 24, 1941, to Thomas and Valerie (Reed) Kinman. Ronnie attended Butte schools and graduated from Whitehall High School in 1959. He served in the United States Air Force and upon his discharge went to work for the Anaconda Company for eight years. Ronnie joined the Butte-Silver Bow Law Enforcement Agency and retired as sergeant in 1992 after 20 years of service. For the past 12 years, he has worked security at the Federal Building in Butte. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, black powder shooting, motorcycles and riding snowmobiles. He and Teri Richards were married July 13, 1974, in Butte and she survives. Also surviving are his sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Hannah Kinman of Butte, and John and Julie Kinman of California; daughters, Tammi McDaniel of Bigfork and Terri Bender of Butte; grandchildren, Valerie, Ashley, Nicole and Mark Kinman, J.T. and Brittney Bender and Amber McDaniel; his father, Thomas Kinman; brother, Don Kinman; sister and brother-in-law, Valerie and Dan Lloyd, all of Butte; mother-in-law, Joan Richards of Butte; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Paul and Sue Richards, Jeff and Kim Richards, Michelle and Lance Hicks, Jodi and Frank Toews, and Dori and Butch Harrington; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ronnie is preceded in death by his mother, Valerie Kinman; father-in-law, Ed Richards; and brother-in-law, Ed Richards. Mr. Kinman s remains are in Wayrynen-Richards Funeral Home, where friends may call beginning Friday morning, Sept. 10. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a memorial fund in Ronnie s memory for Amber McDaniel at Heritage Federal Credit Union, P.O. Box 3958, Butte, MT 59702.
