The Bigfork girls soccer team picked up its first conference win of the season with a 6-5 victory over the Libby.

The teams were tied at three goals apiece at the end of the first half. Libby added a fourth goal at the start of the second half before Bigfork went on a three-goal streak between the 77th and 80th minute. Libby was able to sneak in one final goal before time ran out, but it wasn't enough to catch the Bigfork girls.

The Vikings on the other hand were shutout by the Loggers in an 8-0 loss. Libby put in five goals in the first half and another three in the second.

The Vals host Columbia Falls at 6 p.m. Friday. The Vikings were also to host Columbia Falls, but the Wildcats had to forfeit the remainder of their season due to a lack of numbers following the suspension of 14 players who violated the school's alcohol policy.

The Bigfork boys won't play again until they host Polson next Thursday, Sept. 23.
