The Arlee cross country team got off to a blazing start with a strong showing at the Lincoln Invitational last Thursday.
“So far this season, we’ve been doing a lot of hill workouts and getting in a lot of miles,” Arlee head coach Katea Dreiling said.
For the boys’ team, four runners finished in a row from fourth to seventh place. Senior Jesse Pfau finished fourth with a time of 21:39. Senior Trae Burland was fifth at 22:35. Senior Nick Morigeau was sixth with a time of 22:50 and sophomore Al Plant was seventh at 23:03.
“My senior boys have been running a lot together,” Katea Dreiling said.
On the girls’ team, sophomore’s Kristyn Adams and Tayla Desjarlais finished third and fourth respectively. Adams had a time of 33:33 and Desjarlais had a time of 33:59.
The team will now get ready for the Mountain West Classic next weekend in Missoula.
