ST. REGIS —Two Eagle River had a strong second match but lost 3-0 at St. Regis last Thursday, 25-6, 25-15, 25-1.
“They just held it together more than the other games,” Two Eagle River head coach Chrissie Ewing said.
The Lady Eagles then traveled to the Phillipsburg tournament on Saturday. They missed their first game because the bus was late, then played Seeley Swan in the next game, losing 12-0, 12-6.
Ewing said that the low 12-point winning score made the matches get over before teams were warmed up.
“That didn’t seem to get them into the flow of the game,” she said. “It just didn’t seem to be right.
Two Eagle lost their second game 12-9, 12-4 to Sheridan to wrap up morning play. For the afternoon game, the winning score was bumped up to 15 points.
The Lady Eagles lost their final match against Granite 15-4, 15-3.
Ewing did say that the girls had fun playing and meeting the different teams at the tournament.
However, the number of games to play in one day did tire them out.
Two Eagle will play Charlo at 6:30 p.m. next Thursday on the road.
