Wanted: "Art on the run."

Entries are wanted for Fleet Feet's first running-inspired art contest, Art on the Run, with running-related prizes.

Submissions will be displayed at Fleet Feet during the Oct. 8 Downtown Artwalk and at the store for a week after. The theme for the contest is running.

"We want art that conveys passion for the sport and the feelings that inspire us to lace 'em up and go," according to a press release.

Maximum dimensions of each entry should be about 16 x 13, with one entry allowed per person. Entry deadline is Sept. 30. Entries may include photography, painting, drawing, mixed media or sculpture. It is free.

There will be three prizes awarded for Best in Show. First prize will be a free pair of shoes, and second and third prizes will be Fleet Feet gift cards for $40 and $20.

To pick up an entry form or drop off a submission, stop by Fleet Feet at 511 Sherman Ave. in Coeur d'Alene.
