The Libby High School Educational Trust recently awarded two scholarships to Libby High School graduates.

Audra Poppen received $1,000 from the Libby High School Educational Trust. She is the daughter of Ruth Miller and will be attending the University of Montana in Missoula.

Levi Neubauer received $1,000 from the Lovick Family Memorial Trust. He is the son of Teresa Johnston and will be attending the University of Montana in Missoula.

The Libby High School Educational Trust was established in 1988 to provide scholarships for worthy students that are LHS graduates and who may be in need of financial assistance to obtain additional education. Applications are available at Libby High School.

Donations to the trust are always welcomed. Currently the trust has $136,000 in assets and has awarded more than $41,000 in scholarships. Only the interest earned is used to provide scholarships so the trust will continue to benefit future students.

Trustees of the fund are Gerry Fennessy, Deborah Gidley, Stan Evans, Nancy Chalgren and Jim Sullivan.  For more information or to make a donation, contact a trustee.
