CLARK FORK — With top hitter Brocklynn Thornton out with a shoulder injury, Clark Fork got big contributions from a host of players to down Wallace 24-26, 25-14, 25-15 and 25-9 in North Star League volleyball Tuesday night in Clark Fork.

Mariah Miller continued her hot stretch of late with 12 kills and 16 digs, but it was strong all-around contributions from Dimi Kailang and Claire McMahon that helped the Cats (6-2, 4-0 NSL) down the Miners (2-5, 2-3 NSL).

Kailang stuffed the state sheet with nine kills, 10 digs, five blocks and four aces, and McMahon added five kills, 10 digs, four aces and two blocks, helping turn the tide after a tight first game. The Cats are also without starting outside hitter Autumn Wagoner, also out with a shoulder injury.

“At first we were worried about losing,” said Cats coach Michelle Adams of the first game. “Then we started playing to win. We played more aggressively at the net and really swung through (the ball).”
