EPHRATA 3, OTHELLO 0

OTHELLO - Despite taking to the road, the Ephrata Lady Tigers volleyball team made itself right at home in Othello last night.

Ephrata (4-4) would make quick work of the host Lady Huskies winning 3-0 (25-21, 25-18, 25-14).

"It was really a team effort tonight," Ephrata head coach Emily Peterson said. "We played great and improved with each set."

Michelle Niehenke and Tessa Ratigan sparked the Lady Tigers' defense with 19 digs apiece and Mary Asker chipped in with 18.

Kendra De Hoog finished with 10 kills, three solo blocks and three service aces.

Also helping out on offense was Heidi Buchert who ended up with nine kills and three aces and setters Lauren Yount and Allie Duff finished with 13 and 11 assists respectively.

Miykala Parris had 43 assists for Othello (1-4) while Brooke Roylance contributed 10 kills.

"Othello played hard and we attacked the ball consistently," Lady Huskies head coach Jackie Fluaitt said.
