The Bigfork volleyball team, boys soccer team and girls soccer team were each dealt a conference loss Thursday evening.

VOLLEYBALL

The Valkyries volleyball team lost to rivals Eureka at Lincoln County High School in a five set match and tarnished their previously undefeated conference record.

Eureka won the first two sets, which both ended with scores of 25-23. The Vals pushed back in the third game and took it 25-16 and the fourth 25-21. However, it was the Lady Lions that came out on top 15-12 in the decisive fifth set.

SOCCER

Meanwhile at Carlyle Johnson Field, Bigfork hosted the boys and girls soccer teams from Polson. The Pirates shut the Vikings out for a 6-0 victory and the Lady Pirates beat the Valkyries 5-1.

Senior Caitlin Charlebois had Bigfork's only goal of the game. A solo shot in the 23rd minute.

UP NEXT

Next up, the volleyball team will host Mission on Tuesday, Sept. 28, for Homecoming. The Bigfork soccer teams will be in Whitefish that night. The time and location of those games have changed. The boys will now start at 3 p.m. and the girls will play at 5 p.m. There will also be a junior varsity boys game at 5 p.m. All three games will be played at Smith Fields in Whitefish rather than at the high school.

Thursday the Bigfork soccer teams will host Libby for their Homecoming game as well as senior night, as it is the last home game for Bigfork soccer. The times of those games have been moved up to accommodate the sun setting earlier. The boys will begin at 3 p.m. and the girls will start at 5 p.m. In between games there will be an introduction of the Bigfork senior soccer players.
