Evelyn Geraldine Jackie Donovan, 88, was promoted to glory on Sept. 17, 2010, at Dumas Memorial Hospital in Dumas, Texas. She was born on Feb. 19, 1922, in Kalispell, to Frank and Margaret (Eckelberry) Logan, the youngest of three children. She spent all her life in the Kalispell area. Jackie graduated from Flathead County High School with the Class of 1940. It was June 29, 1944, in Kalispell, that she married James Donovan. She spent most of her time helping others, including volunteer work at Brendan House. She really enjoyed cooking and making family and friends feel at home. She touched so many people in so many different ways. She was an inspiration to us all. She devoted herself to studying God s word and applying it to her life. She was a Baptist by faith and an active member of Bethel Baptist Church. Jackie was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; her parents; a brother, Darrell Logan; and a sister, Thelma McCarty. She is survived by a son, Richard, his wife, Victoria, and five grandchildren, Michael, Timothy, Kelly, Lisa and Ryan; three step-grandchildren, Nathan, Adam and William; 12 great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and friends of all who knew her. Funeral services for Jackie will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, in the Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home Chapel in Kalispell, with Pastor David Pestel of Bethel Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Glacier Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, at the funeral home. Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for Jackie s family.
