Vikes step over Lions, Runner places at invite

The Vikings extended their record to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in conference Friday night with a 34-14 victory over District 7B rivals Eureka.
Three touchdowns in their opening three possessions got the Vikes off to a 20-0 lead by the close of the first quarter.
Eureka was able to find the end zone in the final second of the second quarter as well as the final minutes of the fourth. However, Bigfork's defense held them off otherwise while the offense took in a total of five touchdowns over the course of the game.
At 7 p.m. this Friday Bigfork hosts Thompson Falls for Homecoming.
CROSS COUNTRY
On Saturday the Bigfork cross-country teams competed at the Ronan Invitational and sophomore Chelsea Olson earned 16th place among the varsity girls who came from schools in Class AA through Class B.
Olson's time of 20:39 was 2:13 seconds faster than her time at the meet last year and she beat her personal best by 2:37.
This Saturday the Vikes and Vals will compete in Hamilton.
