The Libby High School cross country team competed on Saturday at the Ronan Invitational.

Jacob Thomas ran the 3-mile course in 17:12 – his fastest time of the season.

“Jacob was running well but he was disappointed that he didn’t break into the 16-minute range,” LHS coach Rod Tempel said.

Will Lott turned in a time of 18:32 as he tries to reach season form after a late start. Lott’s time was 1:55 faster than what he ran on the 3.1-mile Farragut course.

Zeke Carlson (18:55), Kody Berget (19:00) and Ben Graziano (19:51) also broke the 20-minute mark. Jacob McCrohan just missed with a 20:11. All four of those runners had their best times of the season.

Kaitlyn Reinstma participated in her first varsity meet and had a time of 27:51 – her best performance of the season. Elizabeth Rogers also had her top time with a 27:59.

The Loggers are scheduled to run at Thompson Falls on Thursday and Eureka on Saturday.
