An owner of A Better Storage Solution, of Post Falls, said the business is again offering truck rentals for moving.

It is offering Penske trucks, after ending its relationship three years ago with truck rental giant U-Haul International, said John Wood, who owns the business with his wife, Andrea. A Better Storage Solution opened its doors in 2005, and is located at 995 N. Boulder Court.

A Better Storage Solution has 400 mini-storage units and outdoor storage for vehicles and boats.

"We felt it (truck rental) would compliment our mini-storage facilities," Wood said.

He said he likes the quality of Penske's equipment, and had been seeking to be an outlet for the yellow trucks for some time. He felt U-Haul had too many outlets in the area. He rented out U-Haul trucks for one year.

The Woods' new Penske location will serve Post Falls, Rathdrum, and Liberty Lake, he said.

Kootenai Truck and Auto Repair, located at 3450 N. Ramsey Road, in Coeur d'Alene, also offers Penske truck rentals. There are other locations in Spokane and Spokane Valley.

Wood said the storage business will have about 10 trucks on site, ranging in size from 16-foot to 26-foot.

He said the business has about 80,000 square feet of building space on five acres, which is all owned by John and Andrea Wood. They don't have employees, he said.
