MOSES LAKE - A chili cooking contest is now a chili feed.

C&V Auto and the Columbia Basin Herald are offering free chili on Saturday, starting at 10 a.m.

Ten gallons of chili are being cooked by Michael's on the Lake, according to Columbia Basin Herald Publisher Harlan Beagley.

The event was originally a chili cooking contest, but due to complications from health regulations the contest is cancelled.

"The requirements are daunting and made it difficult to have a cooking contest in the way we envisioned it," Beagley said.

Instead, chili will be cooked and brought to C&V Auto for people to try.

C&V Auto is located at 12174 N. Frontage Road in Moses Lake.
