YAKIMA - Quick and easy work was a nice change of pace for the Moses Lake Chiefs volleyball team last night.

The Chiefs took a 3-0 (25-12, 25-17. 25-16) in Yakima against hosts Davis, to even up their Big 9 record at 3-3.

Moses Lake (4-7-1 overall) was led by the hitting of Kayla Bernsen and her 13 kills, and Sadie Nielsen and Kaydren Dunkin who each had eight kills.

Markie Fancher finished with 17 assists for Moses Lake and Taylor Sonnenberg led the defense with 13 digs

"We did a pretty good job of maintaining our energy and focus," Moses Lake head coach Amy Utter said. "We did a really good job of playing our game. We had a good tournament on Saturday and learned some things and then came in here and did a good job."

One thing Utter has hoped to see all year is to have her team play at an even keel.

"They learned to continue to be consistent and work on a lot of the things we learned this weekend," Utter said. "We didn't play the name game and just played regardless of who our opponent was and played our game instead."
