PULLMAN - Rickey Galvin ran for two touchdowns, quarterback Marshall Lobbestael threw for two and quarterback Jeff Tuel also threw for a score as the Washington State offense scored five touchdowns in the Cougars' spring scrimmage at Martin Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

"I thought the offense had very good execution today and they continue to make more plays as they get more and more comfortable," WSU coach Paul Wulff said. "I thought the defense did a good job of recovering after allowing some big plays early and did a nice job of settling in and getting some stops. Rickey (Galvin) has some quickness and the ability to make people miss and he did some very good things today. Our passing game should be a positive for us as we continue to gain experience and get better each time out."

Lobbestael connected with Bennett Bontemps for a 75-yard touchdown on the first play of the second series of the afternoon for the Cougars' first score. Galvin later broke a 54-yard run off the right side for his first score of the day. A couple series later, Lobbestael capped a 10-play, 70-yard drive with 13-yard touchdown pass to Blair Bomber over the middle.

Tuel capped his afternoon with a 25-yard score to Isiah Barton in the back of the end zone before Galvin finished with a 3-yard touchdown run for the Cougars' final score.

Tuel went 13 for 19 for 112 yards and touchdown while Lobbestael was 9 for 13 for 160 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Galvin finished with nine carries for 77 yards and two scores while Carl Winston rushed seven times for 39 yards. Marquess Wilson led the receivers with six catches for 41 yards while Henry Eaddy made five catches and Isiah Myers finished with four.

The Cougars continue spring drills Tuesday afternoon on Rogers Field at 3:30 p.m.
