State run benefits

I find it very interesting that all three Sanders County legislators are taking advantage of the state run health insurance program. Actually, I find it appalling that Hinkle and Ingraham have the guts to take taxpayer funded health care when both have made statements against government run health insurance

Listen to what Representative Pat Ingraham has to say about government run health insurance in the Missoulian on August 10th, 2010.

“Along with the loss of that private insurance goes the individual’s right to choose doctors and treatment options. There’s no doubt in my mind that, with government insurance, we will see a decrease in the quality of treatment.” Missoulian August 10th, 2010.

Pat, have you noticed that your taxpayer funded, government run health care policy has limited your choice of doctors? Has the quality of care gone down since you signed up for your state of Montana health insurance?

And Greg Hinkle puts in his two cents in his weekly column “We the People” of February 6th, 2010.

“It gravels me when I hear some politician claim the need for affordable health care by creating more government spending, programs and control.”

Mr. Hinkle, It apparently doesn’t gravel you enough to turn that government health care insurance down.

And now that Ms. Ingraham and Mr. Hinkle have theirs, they don’t see any problem with voting to cut health care programs for other Montanans.

Two faced, self-serving legislators is not what Sanders County deserves. Hypocrisy is not a part of Montana values but it is apparently the values of Pat and Greg.

State run benefits

Elected officials shouldn't run us down

Recently, Republican state representatives Pat Ingraham and Gordon Hendrick and state senator Greg Hinkle met with Sanders County school administrators to talk about the school funding challenges facing the 2011 legislature. The meeting was arranged by Sanders County Treasurer Carol Turk who is running for re-election on the Republican ticket along with Ingraham and Hendrick. All three of the state officials expressed their concern about school funding issues. I would find their concern a lot more credible if any of them had ever actually voted for state funding for education.
