PENTICTON, B.C. ?- Albert and Rita Chretien are missing after the Canadian couple crossed into the U.S. March 19 in Oroville.

The 59-year-old man and 56-year-old woman left Penticton, B.C., for a business conference in Las Vegas, according to Royal Canadian Mounted Police Cpl. Dan Moskaluk. The couple failed to return on March 30.

The children of the Penticton couple grew concerned after they did not return as planned.  The Chretiens were traveling in a light-brown-colored 2000 Chevy Astro Van with British Colombia license plate 212-CAV.

The couple crossed into Washington at the Oroville  border crossing at 7:05 a.m. on March 19.

"To date the couple's banking activities and cellphone usage have been nil.  The Penticton RCMP is (working) with several U.S. police agencies in order to forward the information state side in attempts to locate the couple," stated Moskaluk. "Family members are very concerned and note that their parents failing to show for ... trade show and convention is out of the ordinary."

The Chretiens are small business owners and have a small staff.
