Angry religious man removed from train

Flathead County Sheriff’s Office deputies helped remove a wheelchair-bound man from an Amtrak train in West Glacier Tuesday at about 12:30 p.m. after employees said the man first complained about young girls wearing makeup and later ranted about his religious beliefs. He was taken to a motel in Hungry Horse.

A woman on Woodland Road near Columbia Falls complained that her neighbor’s horses keep coming in her yard.

Deputies found a man with Alzeimer’s after he was reported missing on Kings Way.

On Klondyke Loop in Somers, a caller reported having surveillance footage of a juvenile attempting to sell marijuana to other juveniles.

A woman on U.S. 2 East reported that she loaned a car and pickup truck to her ex-boyfriend who is now refusing to return them.

Someone destroyed a mailbox on Tetrault Road.

A dog bit someone during an eviction at a home on Fourth Avenue West in Columbia Falls.

Three students were accused of sending and receiving sexually explicit photographs on cellphones at a school on Commerce Street in Bigfork.

Suspicious activity was reported on Montana 35 where a business owner said a man who appeared to be strung out on drugs was making odd statements.

On Helena Flats Road, a pit bull was seen chasing children as they rode their bicycles. The owner of the dog was counseled.

Deputies were unable to find two vehicles seen racing on U.S. 2 West near Columbia Falls.

Two men fought at the scene of a two-vehicle crash on Trumbull Canyon Road after one of the men reportedly said he did not have insurance. The man who reported the crash told a dispatcher his name was “Joe Mamma” and refused to provide his location.

A group of transients on Whitefish Stage Road were counseled after someone reported they had built a fire and were being loud.

The Kalispell Police Department received a report of child abuse on Two Mile Drive where a caller said a woman was locking her children in a closet as punishment.

 No one was injured after a two-vehicle crash that caused one vehicle to roll at the intersection of Fifth Street West and Fourth Street West.

Graffiti was reported on a building on Sixth Street West.

A man on Fifth Avenue East North reported that a neighbor’s dog was defecating in his yard.

Extra patrols were requested at the intersection of North Meridian Road and West Idaho Street after a woman said her son was threatened.

A father and son didn’t want to pursue charges against one another after a physical disturbance was reported on Sherwood Lane.

Officers were unable to locate three teenage boys seen trying to break into vehicles near Appleway Drive.

A pickup truck was seen damaging the baseball fields near Woodland Park.

Fraud was alleged on Eleventh Street West where a caller said someone tried to get a loan using his or her identity.

Wheels and tires were reported stolen on Kelly Road.

Someone stole a radio from a vehicle parked near the intersection of Tenth Street West and Third Avenue West. A tire was also slashed.

The Whitefish Police Department received a report of harassment on Central Avenue.

Extra patrols were requested on Karrow Avenue and Ridge Crest Drive.

Suspicious activity was reported on U.S. 93 West. and Lupfer Avenue.
