Coeur d'Alene 4, Lakeland 0: At Hayden, sophomore Lindsie Scholwinski struck out 13 batters and drove in a run in a three-run third inning as Coeur d'Alene defeated Lakeland in a nonleague game at Finucane Park.
"It was a real solid game," Coeur d'Alene coach Larry Bieber said. "Both teams played good defense. Lindsie was on fire and hitting her spots really well."
The game, previously scheduled for Larry Schwenke Field in Coeur d'Alene, was moved due to standing water on the playing field.
“It was kind of a strange situation, but we were happy to get the game in,” Bieber said. “It was a well played game and a credit to both teams.”
