LIBBY - Columbia Falls and Libby split a Northwestern A tennis dual on Friday.

The Columbia Falls girls won three singles matches and twice in doubles play to post a 5-2 victory.

The Libby boys used two wins in singles and doubles to claim a 4-3 win.

POLSON - The Polson girls picked up two dual victories in tennis, dropping Bigfork 6-1 while edging Corvallis 4-3.

Polson's Sara Robinson and Dominique McGowan pulled out a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 3 doubles to give the Pirates the win over Corvallis.

In boys action, Bigfork topped Polson 6-2 while Corvallis escaped with a 4-3 win over the Pirates.

"We played the state B champs in the morning, the state A champs in the afternoon, it was a rough day," Polson coach Bob Hislop said of the boys outings.

"Hayden Congdon had an excellent day. He barely lost to Bigfork, but won against Corvallis."
