IHFA honors Windermere agents
The Idaho Housing and Finance Association has honored five local Windermere agents for helping clients utilize its IdaMortgage Home Loan program.
The program helps low to moderate income Idaho families achieve home ownership with special rates, tax credits and down payment assistance.
The agents were presented with STAR (Saluting Top Area Realtors) Awards at a special luncheon at Cedars Restaurant on Feb. 23.
Chad Salsbury of Windermere Coeur d'Alene Realty received the Silver STAR Award for representing eight IdaMortgage home buyers in the past two years. Salsbury has been in the industry for more than 10 years and specializes in residential properties.
Tammy and Brian Waggoner of Windermere Hayden Realty received the Bronze STAR Award for representing eight IdaMortgage home buyers in the past two years. Tammy Waggoner is the 2011 president of Women's Council of Realtors.
Susan Kirkpatrick and Sharon Powell of Windermere Coeur d'Alene Realty received certificates of appreciation.
"Realtors play a key role in providing information about the IdaMortgage Loan program," said Susan Semba, IHFA home ownership lending director. "This partnership is important to the success of our IdaMortgage program."
In North Idaho alone, more than 10,600 low and moderate income families have received IdaMortgage loans through IHFA, an investment of over $900 million.
Gates joins Kootenai Prosthetics
Alexandra Gates has joined Kootenai Prosthetics and Orthotics, of Coeur d'Alene, as a certified orthotist and licensed prosthetist.
She is a 2008 graduate of the University of Washington's orthotics and prosthetics program.
Gates sees patients in KPO's Coeur d'Alene and Spokane Valley clinics.
Lone Wolf hires former Seahawk
A former Seattle Seahawk is joining the squad at Lone Wolf Harley-Davidson.
John Yarno, an avid rider, is on the sales team.
Yarno started his football career at the University of Idaho.
"We are very enthused to add him to our family," said Beth Ernst, dealer principal at Lone Wolf.
Shapiro new COO at Dirne
Dr. Stan Shapiro is the new chief operations officer at the Dirne Community Health Center.
"I am thrilled to have Stan on board with us as our COO," said chief executive officer Mike Baker. "Stan brings with him an extensive background. His clinical knowledge combined with his strong mind for operations will provide us a nice lift as we move forward."
Hammond garners new title atLewis-Clark State College-Cd'A
Cyndie Hammond's title at Lewis-Clark State College, Coeur d'Alene, has changed from regional director to executive director of Coeur d'Alene and Region I, the school announced.
Growth in Coeur d'Alene and Region I continues to hit record numbers each semester and a title change for Hammond reflects the college's focus on Coeur d'Alene enrollment and future student success in the area.
