Couser, a senior from Lake City High, competed in the women's open professional division of the Whitefish Mountain Boarder-Cross Championship and placed fifth out of 26 competitors.

Community Colleges of Spokane golf
Roller, a freshman from Coeur d'Alene High, shot a 75 at the University of Idaho Golf Course and followed it with a 75 at the Palouse Ridge Golf Course during the Inland Challenge on April 4. Roller finished sixth in the tournament, which also featured Washington State, Idaho and North Idaho College.
Kyler Gable
Lewis-Clark State golf
Gable, a junior from Coeur d'Alene High, finished tied for first place for the Warriors with a two-day total of 153 at a match in St. George, Utah, on March 29.
Richelle Ashburn
Seattle University softball
Ashburn, a freshman from Post Falls High, finished a pair of games for the Redhawks, pitching seven innings and striking out seven batters in a 5-3 win over Weber State on Saturday. She also closed out an 8-4 win in the second game.
"Richelle (Ashburn) gave us a lot of quality innings today in the circle, including earning the win in the early game," Seattle coach Dan Powers said.

DeLong, a senior from Coeur d'Alene High, tossed a one-hit shutout to lead the Bulldogs to a Missouri Valley Conference win over Wichita State on Sunday. DeLong held a no-hitter through five innings and struck out eight, moving her to within two strikeouts of the school record.
Brian Maldonado
DeAnza College (Cupertino, Calif.) track and field
Maldonado, a sophomore from Timberlake High in Spirit Lake, won the 200 at the Ed Adams Invitational in Salinas, Calif. on Saturday. Maldonado also ran the anchor leg of the team's 4x100 relay team which finished second in the invitational.
Ryan Booth
Eastern Oregon track and field
Booth, a junior from Post Falls, finished fourth in the 800 with a time of 1:52.82 at the Albertson's WAR Meet in Spokane. His mark is the sixth best in the NAIA this season and second in the Cascade Conference. The meet was scored as a two-team meet, with schools from Washington facing those representing Oregon, Idaho and Montana.

Leonard, a freshman from Lakeland High in Rathdrum, finished second in the discus with a throw of 139 feet, 11 inches during the Albertson's WAR Meet in Spokane on Saturday.
