HS TENNIS: LaSalle 4-5, Royal 1-0

ROYAL CITY - On Saturday the Royal tennis teams battled a strong LaSalle squad in a non-league match and came out on the short end of both results.

The Knights lost a 4-1 decision while LaSalle swept past the Royal ladies, 5-0.

Royal's boys (1-3) earned their only victory behind the play of No. 1 singles player Noah Grant who took a 6-4 , 7-5 decision.

Later that same day, Royal's boys moved to 1-3 overall and 1-2 in league play with a win over Granger. Grant won 6-2, 6-1 as did Luis Valenzuela (7-6(4), 6-2) in singles to pace the win.

The Royal girls are now (1-3). 

The Lady Knights did not win a set against LaSalle or Granger.
