Lady Tigers of Ephrata record second CWAC win over Toppenish

EPHRATA - The host Lady Tigers of Ephrata recorded their second Central Washington Athletic Conference (CWAC) sweep of the year as they took two from visiting Toppenish on Saturday.

Ephrata (4-8, 4-6) won 20-3 and 16-6 in two five-inning, mercy-rule wins.

In the opener, Ephrata scored 10 runs in their half of the first inning and never looked back.

Katie Allen was the winning pitcher while Skylar Lund hit for the cycle, going 4-for-4.

Lauren Laird and Emma Ratigan helped the Ephrata cause as each went 2-for-3.

Allen won against in game two as the Lady Tigers broke open the game with a 13-run third inning.

Lund went 3-for-3 with two triples, Laird went 2-for-2 with a triple, Clarissa Vela went 2-for-3 with a triple, and Kim Vela went 2-for-2.
