MATTAWA - The annual community clean-up in Mattawa, sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, has been scheduled for this Friday, April 22, in the evening.

The clean-up will get under way at 5 p.m. Afterward, there will be a chili feed at the church, starting at around 7 p.m., according to organizer Christine Yorgesen.

Volunteers are asked to gather at one of three locations. One group will work the area around the east entrance to town, meeting at Mattawa Auto-Ag Supply.

A second  group will gather at the Wahluke Produce Onion shed at 24100 R Road SW. A third group will gather at the LDS Church at 11318 Road 24 SW.

Volunteers need not bring tools. This will be a trash collection operation, and the bags will be provided.
