For women Levels 3-7, state is the highest competition meet and is the final meet of the season. All female gymnasts, including Levels 8-10, compete at state. Level 8-10 gymnasts must earn a qualifying score at state to move to the next meet tier which is regionals. Regionals is the highest meet that Level 8 women compete, and Level 9 and 10 women must earn qualifying scores at regionals to go to the next meet tier. Qualifying Level 9 women then compete at Western Regionals, while Level 10 women can qualify to compete at nationals, the highest tier of the USAG Junior Olympic meets.
