MATTAWA - The Salvation Army of Moses Lake has extended service to the City of Mattawa, according to service representative Ken Palek.

The SA has set up shop at the Mattawa Community Medical Clinic on Government Way. It is open from 3-5 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month.

The SA offers "limited emergency assistance" with such things as utilities, food, clothing and fuel. The help comes in the form of vouchers that can be spent for specified items only.

The Salvation Army has offered service in Royal City for some time, from 1-3 every Tuesday. That service is offered at the Royal City Church of the Nazarene.

"We start out with one day a month and grow as the demand grows," Palek said.
